Know Your Numbers. Take Back Your Health.

Hormonal imbalances don't announce themselves, they hide behind fatigue, weight gain, mood swings, and brain fog.
At Forever Young BHRT in Oakland Park, FL, our comprehensive hormone blood testing uncovers exactly what's happening inside your body so we can fix it at the root.

Why Hormone Testing Matters

Most standard lab panels ordered by primary care physicians check only a handful of hormone markers and often only flag problems when levels are severely abnormal.

At Forever Young BHRT, we take a different approach. We test comprehensively, interpret results in the context of your symptoms and health goals, and use that data to build a treatment plan that is uniquely yours, not a one-size-fits-all protocol.

If you are experiencing any of the following, a hormone panel is the right first step:

Persistent fatigue that rest doesn't fix
Unexplained weight gain or inability to lose weight
    Low libido or sexual dysfunction
Brain fog, poor concentration, or memory lapses
    Mood swings, anxiety, or depression
    Sleep disturbances or insomnia
    Hot flashes or night sweats
Muscle loss or reduced strength despite exercise
    Hair thinning or dry skin
    Increased abdominal fat
    Decreased bone density

What We Test

Our comprehensive hormone blood panel goes far beyond what most clinics offer. Depending on your symptoms and health history, your evaluation may include:
Sex Hormones

Estradiol (E2) — the primary form of estrogen; key for mood, bone health, skin, and sexual function in women

Progesterone — balances estrogen, supports sleep, reduces anxiety, and protects uterine health

Total & Free Testosterone — critical for energy, libido, muscle mass, and mental clarity in both men and women

DHEA-S — an adrenal precursor hormone that supports energy, immunity, and hormone production

Thyroid Panel

    TSH (Thyroid Stimulating Hormone)
Free T3 & Free T4 — active thyroid hormones governing metabolism, energy, and temperature regulation

Adrenal & Stress Hormones

Cortisol — the primary stress hormone; elevated or depleted levels disrupt sleep, weight, blood sugar, and immune function
DHEA-S — also an adrenal marker and key anti-aging hormone

Metabolic & Cardiovascular Markers

Fasting Insulin & Glucose — for insulin resistance and metabolic health
HbA1c — reflects average blood sugar over 90 days
Comprehensive Lipid Panel — total cholesterol, LDL, HDL, and triglycerides
hsCRP — a sensitive marker for systemic inflammation

Growth Hormone Axis

IGF-1 (Insulin-like Growth Factor 1) — reflects growth hormone activity; declines with age and affects body composition, energy, and recovery

Complete Blood Count & Metabolic Panel

Assesses red and white blood cell health, kidney function, liver function, and electrolyte balance — essential for safe hormone therapy management

Our Testing Process

Step 1: Consultation & Symptom Review
Before we draw a single vial of blood, we sit down with you. We want to understand your symptoms, your history, your lifestyle, and your goals. This context is what separates a meaningful hormone panel from a routine lab slip.

Step 2: Comprehensive Blood Draw
We order a full hormone panel based on your consultation — no unnecessary tests, no important ones left out. Most patients are able to get their labs completed quickly and conveniently.

Step 3: Results Interpretation with Our Medical Team
Your results are reviewed by our hormone specialists, including Dr. Marc Kaufman, MD, who interprets your labs in the context of your reported symptoms — not just against a generic "normal" range. Optimal hormone levels and "within range" are often very different things.

Step 4: Personalized Treatment Plan
Based on your results, we present you with a clear, customized plan. This may include Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT), peptide therapy, nutritional support, thyroid management, or a combination of approaches tailored to your biology and goals.

Step 5: Ongoing Monitoring
Hormone optimization is a process, not a one-time appointment. We retest at key intervals to ensure your levels are moving in the right direction and adjust your protocol accordingly.

Why Choose Forever Young BHRT for Your Hormone Testing?

We test what others miss. Standard labs often test only TSH and total testosterone. We test the full picture — free hormones, binding proteins, metabolic markers, and inflammatory signals — because partial data leads to incomplete solutions.

We treat the person, not the number. A lab result that falls within the "normal" range can still represent a significant deficiency for your individual physiology. We use your symptoms alongside your numbers to identify true optimization.

Experienced hormone specialists. Led by Dr. Marc Kaufman, MD, our team has decades of combined experience in hormone optimization, regenerative medicine, and anti-aging care.

Conveniently located in Broward County. We serve patients from Oakland Park, Fort Lauderdale, Wilton Manors, Pompano Beach, Deerfield Beach, and throughout South Florida.

Telehealth available for Florida residents. Can't come in person? We offer virtual consultations and can coordinate lab work locally for patients across the state.

Hormone Testing for Men

Men's hormone health is often overlooked until symptoms become severe. Our male hormone panel evaluates:

  Free Testosterone
PSA (Prostate-Specific Antigen) for safety monitoring
    DHEA-S, cortisol, and thyroid function
    Metabolic and cardiovascular markers
Growth Hormone

Whether you're experiencing andropause (Low T), fatigue, weight gain, erectile dysfunction, or loss of motivation, your blood work is where answers begin.

Hormone Testing for Women

Women's hormonal fluctuations are complex and testing must reflect that complexity. Our female hormone panel includes:

    Estradiol,
    Progesterone
Free Testosterone
    DHEA-S
 thyroid panel
FSH (critical during perimenopause and menopause evaluation)
    Metabolic, inflammatory, and cardiovascular markers

Whether you are in perimenopause, menopause, experiencing cycle irregularities, or simply not feeling like yourself, a comprehensive hormone panel is the clearest diagnostic tool available.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to fast before my hormone blood test?
Some markers, including fasting insulin, glucose, and lipids, require an overnight fast (typically 8–12 hours).
Our team will give you specific preparation instructions when you schedule your appointment.

What time of day should I get tested?
Hormone levels particularly cortisol and testosterone fluctuate throughout the day. We recommend morning blood draws for the most accurate and clinically useful results.

How long does it take to get results?
Most results are returned within 3–5 business days. Once received, our team reviews them thoroughly before your follow-up consultation.

Is the testing covered by insurance?
We are a private-pay clinic. Contact us for a full breakdown of testing costs.

Can I get tested if I'm already on hormone therapy elsewhere?
Absolutely. If you're currently on hormone therapy and not feeling optimal results, a fresh comprehensive panel can identify gaps or imbalances in your current protocol.

I feel fine do I still need testing?
Many hormonal imbalances are subclinical, meaning levels have declined enough to affect your health but not yet enough to cause obvious symptoms. Baseline testing in your 30s and 40s gives you a valuable reference point for the future.
